You become a real man...

" ...the day you purchase your own house."

Sometimes, I still can't believe that I'm thinking of buying my own house. I missed the time when my toughest decisions would include attending or skipping class, what to eat for lunch or whether I should get a haircut.

Tell me, do you ever think about this: 30 years from now when we (hopefully) all have kids, and they scour the internet for our facebook pages, twitter accounts or blogs (and they're gonna most likely find it), do you think they'll like whatever it is they'll find?

"Dad you're so emo!"

"Who's that girl you blogged about on February of 2001? Was it mom?"

"Why do you drink and blog?"

lol. TBC. :)

Aliens!

District 9 is awesome! I wish it had a sequel but I think it'll ruin the whole experience. I liked it better than War of the Worlds (War of the Worlds is somewhere up there in my top movies list). Some people don't like War of the Worlds. I think they just didn't get the whole point of the movie.

Recipe: Red(d) Omelet

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Life
I'm a breakfast person. A good breakfast equates to a good day. But most of the time we don't have the luxury to prepare a full course meal at 6 in the morning and you have to be at work by 9AM and you live in the far corners of the metro like me.  So I'm going to share one simple recipe that has got me through many hectic mornings full and satisfied. Its quick, easy, healthy and delicious at that.

Its my own version of omelet. I have developed this through many experiment and research. Please feel free to share any variation that you might have.

Red(d) Omelet

Serves 1-2 person (if you have an appetite like me)

Ingredients:
2 medium to large sized chicken eggs
1 medium sized onion (chopped)
1 big or 2 medium sized tomatoes (chopped)
Olive oil or butter or any cooking oil
Salt
Pepper
Hot Sauce / Chili Flakes (for the Red(d) factor!)
1/4 cup Milk
Worchestire Sauce (optional)

Steps:
1. Heat 1-2tbsp olive oil/butter in a skillet. When using butter, use low heat as butter tends to burn more quickly.
2. Saute tomato and onion until the onion caramelizes but still crunchy. Then take it off the skillet and set aside. Keep the skillet on low heat.
3. Beat the eggs while adding milk, salt, pepper, hot sauce/chili flakes and worchestire sauce. And then add the tomato and onions to the mixture.
4. Carefully pour the mixture into the skillet (you can add more oil or butter to the skillet if you like). Cook it like any other omelet. Fold it, toss it. Whatever its your food.

Enjoy this with fried rice (I'd have my recipe posted soon), a can of spam or strips of bacon, a cup of coffee, tea or a glass of your favorite fruit juice and get ready for an amazing day ahead.
